An Organizer's Confession
Before real estate, I spent a lot of time helping people organize their spaces (not something I do professionally anymore, but the lessons stuck with me). If there's one thing I learned, it's that a "system" only works if it's actually easy to use. The prettiest homework nook in the world doesn't matter if the pencils are never where your kid needs them at 7:45 on a Tuesday morning.
So with school starting back up around Gillette, I wanted to share what actually makes a homework station work, not just look good for five minutes.
1. Pick a Spot With Traffic ...

Every home has a story. Even more so than the features, I walk into a place and want to find out the history. Who built it? Why? Who lives or lived here? WHY does it have the features it does? What are they used for? What CAN they be in the future? What are they like? What would my life be like if I lived here? What would this home do for the new owners? What can it offer them? 25 Iron Run is what I would affectionately call a “Sleeper”

No it isn’t a hot rod, its a home, on land, near the lake with monstrous shop and garage spaces. When you look at it from the outside, it’s inconspicuous. I wouldn’t describe it as ordinary, because I’ve seen “under the hood” but if I were referencing the car world, maybe it looks “stock” from the outside?
